Happy three day weekend!  Normally, Labor Day and Memorial Day are some of the best times to grab the items you've been eyeing for a while, so I have scoured the web in search of great deals to share with you guys. Sorry I'm Late

So, life has been pretty crazy for me right now. Trying to find an apartment to stay at near school, finding a job down there, registering for classes, and trying to take a vacation the week before school starts is just a recipe for stress. But anyways, on to the outfit!

This outfit might be one of my favorites I've done so far. These are some of my favorite heels that I don't wear near enough. About this jean jacket/vest - well a few years ago I got it from Abercrombie (note: I neverrr shop there because when XXL don't fit you most of the time, you know that's not the place to shop for you.) Buttttt, they had a 75% off sale sign one day at the Outlet mall, so me and my mom decided to go in. And I loved this denim jacket, but it had long sleeves on it. So for a few years I wore it with sleeves, but this summer, after a while of no wear, I decided to revamp it in some way - so I cut the sleeves off. And I loved it more as a vest than I did a jacket. The ripped washed out denim is awesome for the lighter and warmer summer months. So as I say in many of my other posts, don't be afraid to change up your closet by altering the things you already have in it. (Recently we got a sewing machine, and it is my favorite thing in the house. If you don't have one, I strongly encourage you to get one.)

The tee shirt might be my favorite one that I have. I got it a few weeks ago when Mindy Mae's Market was having a huge sale, so I got it for about $15. And the "Sorry I'm Late" is just awesome. Graphic tees are the best thing to happen to summer, and my closet would be bare without them. So this outfit is basically like my all time favorites from every category. (Fun fact: I loveee my tragus earring. I did it myself a year ago, and have no other piercings. Or tattoos. I'm deathly afraid of needles - so no tattoos.)

Yellow Geo Print

Happy August! (Meaning: I can't believe it's already August, where is my time going.) I picked up this top at Nordstrom on our last shopping trip during the Nordy Early Anniversary Sale, where we got 3x the points which is awesome. (Check out my picks here and here -- Hurry, only 2 days left to shop!) During this trip as I've told you guys, I was on the search for printed sleeveless blouses for summer because as I've grown up, I need grown up shirts. With a coupon and such we got this shirt for $40 (normally $60), so it was great. I paired it with my favorite denim shorts I've had for years from American Eagle. Sadly, I can't buy their shorts any more because they're wayyy too short, but these are a great length (3 1/2"). Threw on my favorite Target wedges, and ta-dah! Quick outfit that looks put together but still cool for this blazing Georgia weather.

And I have finally found some rings. After searching for some stacks that weren't too hard on my wallet, I almost gave up, but the good 'ol Wal-Mart came along and did it's thing. I found this ring stack for only $5 at WalleyWorld. It also came with two other rings, so I got five rings for five dollars. A pretty good stand in if I do say so myself. Now to the bracelets. A few months ago I started to make my own tassel bracelets, and needless to say, I wear them all the time. Caitlin Covington, from Southern Curls and Pearls, recently came out with an awesome DIY tutorial on how to make them. So go check it out. But some things I would suggest: 1.Use a comb. Comb the tassels with a fine toothed comb before wrapping it with the gold string/wire. It helps the fibers come apart so the tassel doesn't look too bulky.  2. I thought using a credit card to wrap the string was a little too long, so I used two fingers and it turned out to be a better length and I had more string in the tassel part. 3. I used gold string instead of wire to wrap around the tassel. Using wire seems a little too much of a hassle.

Also, I have come across the most wonderful invention ever for girls with long, curly, thicker than you can imagine, hair. Well, really it's just a clip, but it has a wider body and longer prongs than just a regular oversized hair clip. I got mine at Wal-Mart and now I use it all the time. Putting my hair up in a ponytail gives me a headache every time because it's so thick, but really because it's so long. It's like strapping a weight to your ponytail. Seriously.
