Week 1: The Befores
Week 2: The Plans
I had some left over paint from when I did the master bedroom makeover. It's a custom mix of Behr's Snow Fall, to me it's the perfect white! I thought about a dark closet but decided against it because there is no light in there, the closest one is around the corner or in the kitchen.
I also went to Home Depot to get the supplies for the shelves. I'm doing the same thing I did in our hall closet makeover and just staining 12" pine boards.
Of course, as soon as we got the dresser out of the hall, I filled it back up with tools and work buckets. The rest of the closet contents were spread out on the dining room table. Having everything out where I can see it will help me sort through what goes back into the closet.
Next week is the last progress week until the reveal on the 30th. This weekend I'll be painting and cutting the shelves. Are you following along with everyone?
White is always a good choice and makes everything look fresh and new. Looking forward to seeing your closet when it's all complete.
ReplyDeleteTotally! White just makes it feel so clean. Thanks!
DeleteLove that you showed us what your home looks like with all the stuff piled up! Isn't that always the case, though. It's a complete mess before it's not? I'm looking forward to seeing my first tool closet.
ReplyDeleteHaha agreed! I think as bloggers we can get tied up with pretty before and afters and sometimes forget to show how projects really go. Thanks!
DeleteI so wish I had an extra closet in my house that I could use for this kind of storage. I get tired of trekking down the the garage.
ReplyDeleteSame! I'm not going out to the shed every time I need the hammer haha!
DeleteYou are making great progress on the closet I am excited to see how you get everything organized and put together.
ReplyDeleteAhh thank you!!
DeleteExcited to see this all come together!!!
ReplyDeleteIt will be so nice to have an organized space for all your tools and crafts! Can't wait to see it finished!
