Surprisingly this is my 6th $100 Room Challenge! So far I've tackled the tool closet, the full bathroom, the hall closet, the carport, and the half bathroom.
Even though the backyard still looks trashy, we have come such a long way since we moved in (below). There was about a foot of decomposing leaves, trash, and just straight up bugs everywhere. It's a little more clean now, but still has a long was to go.
Goals for this challenge!
Paint the shed (inside and outside). Right now the red is a total eye sore and a $30 coat of paint could really change everything. Even if I got nothing done on the inside and just painted the outside, this challenge would still be a success.
Straighten up the inside and make it functional. Maybe put up some shelves or hooks and make space for all of my tools and lawnmower.
Do some landscaping. Plant some flowers or something on the outside and straighten up the makeshift bed of rotten wood that's currently there.
Re-do the ramp. Right now the old rotting beams are painted red and are decomposing. Some nice landscaping timbers will keep our access to the lawnmower and all rolley things in the shed easy.
This is the inspo image I have so far for the exterior paint color. Nice and dark so it'll fade back into the trees.
That doesn't sound like a lot, but it's a lot of work for my jammed pack September. The $100RC is just too fun to pass up though! The best part about this challenge is the other participants. Be sure to click on their posts below and show them some love — we have a lot of new participants this round!
I love your inspiration board and that you are transforming a shed I have hopes that your are making a she shed, but I feel like you need it to be functional space for now. Wishing you a ton of luck.
ReplyDeleteAhh thanks! Haha well it's going to be where I store my tools so I need it to be functional. Thanks!
DeleteYour out building is going to look great in the shade of the inspirational photo. I am so happy you are doing this building because we are needing some inspiration. Can't wait to see what you do.
ReplyDeleteAww thank you!!
DeleteI’ll be following along as you update your shed! I bought stain at least two years ago to stain the inside of my shed and its ramp, but haven’t done it yet! lol
ReplyDeleteThank you! Haha I get the feeling, I've been putting this off for a while.
DeleteYAY!!!! I am so glad you chose to participate despite a busy schedule. I love that you are (again) doing a non-traditional "room". I agree that a coat of paint is going to work wonders. And a little sprucing is going to completely change the look of this. Can't wait to see what you do this month!
ReplyDeleteAhh thanks! For sure, paint is the priority!
DeleteHere we go again! That shed is going to look fantastic in that color! We are in the process of building a storage shed (not for the $100 Challenge - I wish I could do it for that budget! But I'm taking a page from your book for this round and working on a hall closet) and am looking forward to some shed inspiration!
ReplyDeleteHaha thank you!!
DeleteYour makeovers are always amazing and I know that this is going to make me want a shed. I am so glad you decided to particapate.
