Week 1: The Middle Room Befores
Week 2: The Neutral Minimalist Mood Board
Week 3: Middle Room Is Painted
On my mood board I had the IKEA Koppang dresser picked out and was planning on adding some DIY customizations. After an hour (or two?) perusing through IKEA we got everything home and ready to start building. I also put an IKEA dresser together for our master bedroom so I went into this with real expectations for building time. This dresser took maybe a total of 2-2.5 hours.
This week I was also able to paint the closet with my one and only paint accessory provider Handy Paint Products. I chose to paint the rods and shelves that were previously just stained to have a clean fresh look. If you're looking for closet inspiration, check out Shira Gill, her work is amazing.
This next week I am hoping to get the rest of the furniture in and put together. I've got some more IKEA furniture, shades to install, and still have to get the big wooden dresser out and stored somewhere.
Check out the progress from the other guest participants...there are some really good ones! If you don't have time to go through all the posts, make sure to check out Instagram under the recent posts for #OneRoomChallenge to catch the highlights from everyone.
