So many times I've marveled at those mattresses that come in a box and wondered if they really are as comfortable as a regular from-the-store mattresses and do they really come in a box that small? We bought a new one from a store when we moved in and it worked great for about 2 years. But when Auston started having back and hip pain from the divot that had formed on his side, we knew it was time to start looking again. We know we want to invest in a good sleep number bed but that will probably be a purchase we make when we build in a few years. Until then it finally gave us the opportunity to do some research and online shop for one of those fancy out-of-the-box mattresses!

One Room Challenge | Week 2: The Mood Board
The One Room Challenge Week 2 was a bit crazy in the Jones household. About 3 weeks ago our sink and shower stopped working, so we decided to pull the trigger on replacing all the galvanized plumbing with PVC. It was past time to do it we really were just waiting until we had the money anyways. We scheduled it and he quoted us with a day and a half to complete the job. No big deal, we’d just stay with my parents. Long story short he got in there and found more wrong than he thought and the job took from Friday morning until Monday evening... so I lost all weekend to do anything in our master. But luckily a mood board can be done on my laptop, remotely, and with mojitos in hand.

Quick Closet Refresh & Shoe Storage Option
A functional and efficient closet system can make all the difference in how you feel about and live out of your closet. In February we refreshed the guest bedroom closet, where I keep my clothes, and added a custom shelving unit because it had little function. Almost mirroring that guest closet is the master bedroom closet which Auston uses. When we moved in it was a single rod with one shelf that did not look good but it definitely didn't give a lot of usable space. We installed two rods with brackets and stained some planks to set on top. But where do the shoes go you ask?
