$100 Room Challenge | Week 5: Tool Closet Reveal

This reveal is probably, most likely more satisfying to me than it is to you. After living with a mess for 2 years, I finally have a space I can work from with a clear mind. Don't get me wrong though, I'm still one of those people that can tell you where every single thing is in that mess - but it was not conducive to spurring on my creative juices. If you're this far in and have no idea what I'm talking about, head on over to Erin's site about why she created the $100 Room Challenge. I hate writing intros as much as you hate reading them, so let's do this.

Week 1: The Befores
Week 2: The Plans
Week 3: Empty Closet (and I Picked a Paint!)
Week 4: The Shelves are Built!

One Room Challenge | Week 6: Modern Guest Room Reveal

Phew! That's how I feel after 6 weeks of procrastination and spring through the last 7 days. The One Room Challenge has come to an end for the guest room makeover. As per the norm, I've gotten sick this past week and had the busiest week at work that I'll have all year. BUT we got it done and Auston can barely peel me out of this space.  If this is your first time here, you can check the past 5 weeks posts below (Week 1 is really the best).

Week 1: Guest Bedroom Befores
Week 2: The Mood Boards and Plans
Week 3: Making A Hard Wired Sconce into a Plug In
Week 4: Painted Ceiling Fan
Week 5: Vertical Board & Batten

Low-Budget Kids Playroom Makeover

Last week we revealed the closet makeover we tackled in 24 hours, and you guys were so encouraging. It was our first spring makeover and our first time renovating someone else's space. I started planning the space #2 for our Spring Makeovers as soon as I saw the before picture back in February! This kid's playroom was just begging to be transformed into a space for this baby girl where she could grow and foster her imagination. It also gave me an excuse to play with using colors, since I tend to be drawn more towards neutrals. Although, I still chose white walls as the perfect canvas to display toys, books, and can grow with her. With a $150 budget goal, we started to get to work!

One Room Challenge: Week 7 | The Home Office Reveal

Whew! Keeping this room a secret from Auston for 7 weeks has been hard. If you're new here, this desk was covered in white paint (see Week 4 & 5) and the curtains are dyed drop cloths (see Week 6). This is my second One Room Challenge, last season I did our laundry room which was a finish from the studs project. I love doing the ORC because it gives me a schedule and I always meet new people. This office is really my first time fully decorating a space. In the laundry room I used some cute accessories but it really wasn't designing around an existing space - so tell me how I did!

Week 1: The Befores
Week 2: The Mood Board(s)
Week 3: Salvaging A Fox Hunt Print
Week 4: Restoring an Antique Typewriter Desk Part 1
Week 5: Restoring an Antique Typewriter Desk Part 2
Week 6: Drop Cloth Curtains

$100 Room Challenge Week 4 | Modern Half Bath Reveal

A day late, but this is the last week of the $100 Room Challenge and it's reveal day! We decided to redo our half bathroom that connects our master and guest bedrooms. The great thing about this challenge is that you can spend $100 to make the room a little more livable, but if you decide to do a full renovation you don't feel so bad because you haven't put a ton of money in it. See the previous 3 weeks to see how far this room has come in only a month.

Week 1 | The Half Bath Before
Week 2 | Painting the Tile
Week 3 | Open Shelving & Wall Paint
