More #NSale

Here are some more of my picks from the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale! Hurry and get your items before the prices go up in 4 days (Aug. 4)! National Lipstsick Day

Happy National Lipstick Day! So, as you can tell throughout this post, I love lipstick! I don't think it looks the best on me, but I still love it. It's like playing dress up, but oh so much better. It is very hard to find shades that don't wash me out because I'm so pale, so white girls, this post is a great guide to what could work on you. Also, I mix and layer a lot of what I have. For example: I will never use the darkest red, but I will layer over the lightest red so that I get a dark red with that coral undertone that doesn't make me look like a "working girl" if you catch my drift. My room is yellow, so it was very hard to take pictures that didn't look totally yellow, and the colors of the lipsticks are kind of distorted. But you can click on the links at the bottom if you're curious about the true color. So total, I have 14, yes, 14 different lipstick colors.

P.S. Here are some of my favorite lipstick prints from my favorite artist who is just getting the spotlight, Evelyn Henson. You can buy her prints online, and even special order some. The only one that is selling now is last one, "The brighter the lips.."

P.P.S. After writing this and taking the pictures, I was cleaning out my purses and found two other lipsticks. That brings my total to 16 lol. (Bobbi Brown "34 Tulle" + Revlon "Silver City Pink") I wear "Silver City Pink" almost everyday, so I have about three scattered wherever I'll need them. It's a great light pinkish color that has a beautiful shine and glitter to it. If I were to pick out my favorite and most versatile one from all the lipsticks I have, it would be this one.

Mid-Summer Inspiration

Well, here I find myself halfway through the summer and I haven't gotten the chance to post half the outfits I have planned. It's just you look forward to summer all winter long, and when it finally gets here, it flies by so fast, the next thing you know it's fall. So here are some pictures that have been/are inspiring to my summer outfits - colors, outfits, and all. Hopefully you'll find them inspiring too.

Ripped Neon

So, yesterday me and my mom went to the mall and got some major shopping done. It was great. We first stopped at Nordstrom because we were trying to find me a tennis skirt for my birthday. And needless to say, we got a little carried away. I mean, when you walk into that store, and see that tent, you just can't not go in it. So we did and I found some amazing steals, some of which included a nice caramel colored leather jacket (normally $70 but got it for $40). After a few hours, we headed over to Target and Nordstrom Rack. For some reason this was my first time into that wonderful wonderland of clothes. Seriously, if you have not been there, it is a must on your next shopping trip.

Some sleevess shirts that weren't cami's was at the top of my list for summer necessities There I found this awesome flowy neon tank. It is originally $80 but we got it for $20. And it is one of my favorite tops that I own. I love the neon colors,and especially the neon blue pipping (cause blue is the best), but most of all, it has a zipper back! I also found a few more tanky blouses that made their way into our bags. Now, onto the shoesss.

So I have been eyeing these Michael Kors Wedges (Denim & Black) since they came out in the spring. They are simply amazing, but being in college, they weren't really in the budget. And one day as I was browsing the shoes in Target, I came across a miracle. There stood an exact look alike MK for... $25. I was so overjoyed, but sadly they didn't have them in the pretty khaki color I wanted. But I couldn't pass up the black ones now could I? No.The next thing on my list: rings. When putting together outfits, you find the things that are missing. It was printed tops for me, and now it's rings. (This ring is the one I've been craving)

So, if you know me or have checked out my Etsy page, you'll know that I love to make jewelry. But I have only made necklaces up till now. But after seeing some beautiful tassel earrnigs made with glass beads, and I thought I'd attempt some. And they turned out GREAT! I wear them so much (probably because they're my only colorful earrings but anyways). I'm debating on wether or not I should list them on my Etsy store. Yayyy! It's the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale! This quite frankly is the best sale of the year, because Nordstrom is top notch and everything I get there lasts for a long long time. So here are some of my picks. The Kendra Scott earrings are normally $52 and they are on sale for $33! And they come in blush, grey, purple, blue, orange, and green. Perfect colors for fall. And I am pining over that Dooney & Bourkey bag. The Moon and Lola bangle is fabulous, plus it is normally $70. The Dolce Vita boots couldn't be more perfect, and they also come in a nice taupe color. I ended up getting the belted bootie because they are a great height and flippin' adorable.

If you don't have a Nordstrom card, you can apply for one and shop the Early Sale July 10-17. It will give you a card nmber you can use to shop the Early Sale. May the 20's Be With You

I'm back! Sorry I haven't posted in so long, the past 3 weeks have been absolutely crazy for me. Hope everyone had a safe 4th of July weekend! But anyways.

Well, it's here. . . MY 20's!!! And you know that means a birthday post! I didn't have a ton of time to plan an outfit or get an awesome post together because of all the summer craziness, but I still pulled out one. I have been so blessed to be alive for 20 years, and I have so many people to thank for helping me get here, but especially my parents for raisin' me right with great principles and morals.

I was sooo excited when I found this shirt -- for $6 -- at Wal-Mart. Yes, it's another Wal-Mart steal. Bonus: Vader's head is velvet. The velvet gives it a chic look so it's not just a plain graphic tee. I know what you're thinking, Vader and Pink do not go together. But hey, it's my birthday, and they're my favorites. Plus I think it's not too shabby of an outfit. The tulle pink skirt I got while working at LOFT last year, so I'm trying to find some similar ones for all you girlie girls out there. But I decided to put a twist on the girlie side of the skirt and made it kind of edgy with the strappy heels and Vader shirt, so don't throw those girlie items out just yet. Try to mix up your closet and pair things together that you normally wouldn't. (Can I just say again how much I lovee this shirt?!)

July 4th Weekend

It's JULY! My birthday month! I love birthday months because it makes it seem like all those emails you sign up for during the year, are totally worth it. I get coupons galore. From Chick-fil-a to DSW to R.E.I. It's heaven to a shopaholic like me. (Rant over)

Me and my family went to my grandparent's cabin in Cashiers, North Carolina for our 4th weekend. And it was some much needed time away from reality. We hiked down, up, and around some beautiful mountains, we camped out at night, we shopped around the town, and it was awesome. Here are some pictures from our trip.
